Capstone — Build & Falsify a Thesis (TEPLab)

The honors capstone: frame a falsifiable thesis, build and backtest it in TEPLab, and produce an auditable track record.

Learning Objectives

  • State a directional thesis as a falsifiable claim with an explicit asset, direction, horizon, magnitude band, and a pre-committed kill condition.
  • Translate a falsifiable directional thesis into an explicit signal rule in the TEPLab formula engine, with the entry, exit, and holding period fixed in advance.
  • Explain what a proof-of-work credential is and why a verifier must be able to check it without trusting the claimant.
